Frequently Asked Questions

I work with clients online across Massachusetts.

Yes. All sessions are provided through a secure telehealth platform. For children, sessions may include caregiver support and coaching. For adults, telehealth offers a flexible and effective way to engage in therapy without commuting.

Sessions are 50 minutes. Most clients begin weekly to build steady momentum. As emotional regulation improves and patterns shift, we intentionally reassess frequency.

Consistency supports meaningful change. When you begin therapy, we'll clearly outline expectations for scheduling and cancellations to ensure steady progress.

You can reach out through the contact page. We'll outline the next steps and what to expect so the process feels straightforward and manageable.

It's common to walk in unsure, especially if you're not someone who naturally talks about feelings. In the first session, we focus on what's been building up: the anger, the shutdown, the tension at home, or the anxiety that won't quiet down.

We don't force vulnerability. We start by understanding what's happening under the surface and identifying patterns. Most men leave feeling relieved that this isn't about being judged – it's about finally making sense of what's going on.

A lot of the men we work with didn't see themselves as therapy people. They came because something had to change – an ultimatum, escalating conflict, or realizing their anger was affecting their kids.

If you're carrying weight alone and it's starting to cost you your relationships or your peace, therapy can help. You don't have to be falling apart. You just have to be ready to stop pretending you're fine.

That's normal. Many men were raised with restrictive emotional expectations. We don't expect you to become emotionally fluent suddenly. We help you slow down reactions, understand triggers, and build language gradually.

Emotional awareness is a skill that can be learned.

That happens often. Sometimes therapy starts with pressure from home. What matters is whether you're willing to look honestly at what's happening.

Therapy isn't about taking sides. It's about breaking patterns that keep hurting the relationship.

We work best with adult men navigating anger, emotional shutdown, and relationship disconnection, as well as adults struggling with anxiety, shame, and identity confusion. Many clients are high-functioning on the outside but internally overwhelmed or self-critical.

Our work is attachment-focused and trauma-informed. We look at what's under the anger – often hurt, fear, or shame. We combine emotional processing with practical regulation tools and cognitive reframing. Therapy here balances accountability and compassion. You'll be supported and challenged.

Sometimes. That might include noticing emotional triggers, practicing regulation strategies, or experimenting with new responses during conflict. Therapy is active. Growth happens when insight becomes action.

“Let go of the weight you’ve carried alone.”

You don't have to wait for things to fall apart.

Therapy can help you build something steadier.

Reaching out can be the first step toward strength that doesn't require silence.
